Duties and Responsibilities
Work at this level will entail:-
- Preparation of teaching and research materials;
- Ensuring proper arrangement of Dental laboratory;
- Planning, designing, and development of Dental laboratory
teaching and research activities;
- Supervising and preparing teaching and research materials as
well as keeping proper inventory records of equipment, teaching and
research materials;
- Fabrication of complex Dental Prostheses and orthodontic
appliances for patients will be part of the officer’s duties; and
- Performing any other duties as may be assigned from time to
time.
Qualifications
For direct appointment to this grade, a candidate
must have:-
- Higher National Diploma in Dental Technology from a recognized
institution;
- Six (6) years of working experience in a busy teaching and
referral hospital;
- Valid registration by the Kenya Dental Technologist
Association;
- Showed merit and ability as reflected in work performance and
results.
For appointment to this grade, a Serving Officer must
have:-
- Higher National Diploma in Dental Technology from a recognized
institution;
- Served for at least three (3) years as Dental Technologist,
Scale 7/8;
- Registered by the Kenya Dental Technologist Association; and
- Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and
results.
- Bachelor’s degree in Dental Technology from a recognized
institution will be an added advantage,
