Location: Juba (with regular travels to Abyei Administrative Area and whole South Sudan)
Scope of responsibilities:
The Head of Mission Assistant supports the Head of Mission for the overall security management of the mission, the context analysis and on the administrative part of coordination tasks, ensuring the relation with local and national authorities, other agencies and NGO, through:
- Contributing
to the analysis of the political and humanitarian context in the country
and region
- Assisting
the HoM on external and internal communications
- Ensuring
the administrative follow up of dossiers related to special
authorizations.
- Facilitating
contacts with local authorities and other humanitarian actors
- Assisting
in the briefing of expats
- Developing
the associative aspect of the mission
Recruitment criteria:
Experience:
Experience:
- Successful
experience in the field of humanitarian aid, preferably with MSF, or other
organisations.
- Knowledge
of MSF organisation, mandate and principles.
- Experience
in security management, and in-depth knowledge of Abyei Administrative
Area as well as Warrap State.
- Network
with all authorities, especially at Juba and Abyei level, highly
desirable.
Training: Preferably a medical or paramedical qualification or university-level studies
Personal qualities: Autonomous, dynamic, sense of responsibility, skilled at representation, diplomacy, excellent oral and written communication skills, high pro-active attitude, ability to work with multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural people, excellent interpersonal skills, resourcefulness, flexibility.
