Job Title: Field Documentation and Digital Records Officer
Responsible
for documenting field activities, capturing approved photographs, audio and
video recordings, maintaining consent forms and project records, organising
digital files and metadata, uploading and backing up records, ensuring
confidentiality and data protection. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Records
Management, Archives, Information Management, Communication, Research, or a
related field. A Master’s degree and digital archiving experience are an added
advantage.
Job Objective
The Field
Documentation and Digital Records Officer will document field activities and
maintain accurate, secure and well-organised physical and digital project
records across all three projects.
Key Responsibilities
Document
interviews, field visits, meetings, training, installations, workshops and
stakeholder engagements.
Capture
approved photographs, audio recordings, videos and field notes.
Maintain
consent forms, attendance records, transcripts, activity reports and other
supporting evidence.
Organise
records using consistent file names, metadata and version-control procedures.
Upload,
back up, retrieve and securely share authorised project records.
Verify
the completeness and accuracy of field documentation before filing or
archiving.
Support
the integration of approved research materials into relevant digital platforms
and archives.
Observe
confidentiality, research ethics, data-protection, safeguarding and
donor-visibility requirements.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s
degree in records management, archives, information management, communication,
research or a related field.
Experience
in field documentation and electronic records management.
Competence
in photography, audio or video documentation and digital filing systems.
Strong
attention to detail and understanding of confidentiality and data protection.
Experience
in Digital archiving is an added advantage
Masters
degree in the relevant area is an added advantage
