Logistics Manager
Fulfilment Officer ensuring
customer orders are accurately processed, picked, packed, dispatched, and
delivered on time, requiring a Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management
with 3-5 years’ experience in order fulfilment or inventory control, in a
manufacturing FMCG environment, on-site role.
Our client an established manufacturer of FMCG consumable goods is looking to hire a Fulfilment Officer responsible for ensuring customer orders are accurately processed, picked, packed, dispatched, and delivered on time while maintaining inventory accuracy and high customer service standards. The role acts as a key link between Sales, Customer Service, Planning, Procurement, Warehouse Operations, and Transport to ensure efficient order Fulfilment and product availability.
The
position is responsible for minimizing order delays, reducing Fulfilment
errors, improving inventory visibility, and ensuring customers receive the
correct products within agreed service levels.
Key Responsibilities
Order
Management
- Receive, review, and process customer orders in the ERP system.
- Verify product availability before order confirmation.
- Allocate available inventory to approved customer orders.
- Ensure correct pricing, quantities, product codes, and delivery
details are captured.
- Monitor order status from receipt through delivery.
- Resolve order discrepancies promptly.
Fulfilment
Coordination
- Generate picking lists and dispatch documentation.
- Coordinate warehouse picking, packing, and staging activities.
- Ensure orders are fulfilled accurately and completely.
- Prioritize urgent and high-value customer orders.
- Ensure compliance with FIFO/FEFO inventory practices where
applicable.
- Monitor Fulfilment cycle times and identify bottlenecks.
Inventory
Control Support
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the ERP system.
- Investigate stock variances and Fulfilment discrepancies.
- Support cycle counts and periodic stock takes.
- Monitor stock availability and highlight potential shortages.
- Escalate stock-out risks to Planning and Procurement teams.
- Assist in inventory reconciliation activities.
Dispatch
& Logistics Coordination
- Coordinate deliveries with transport providers and internal drivers.
- Prepare delivery notes, invoices, and dispatch documentation.
- Track outbound shipments until delivery confirmation.
- Resolve delivery delays and transportation issues.
- Monitor proof-of-delivery documentation.
Customer
Service Support
- Provide customers with accurate order status updates.
- Address fulfilment-related customer inquiries.
- Investigate customer complaints regarding shortages, damages, or
incorrect deliveries.
- Work with relevant departments to resolve issues promptly.
- Support customer satisfaction improvement initiatives.
ERP
& Systems Management
- Maintain accurate transaction records in the ERP system.
- Ensure timely processing of inventory movements.
- Generate Fulfilment and order status reports.
- Maintain data accuracy across inventory and order management
modules.
- Support system improvements and process automation initiatives.
Process
Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve order accuracy and Fulfilment
efficiency.
- Recommend methods to reduce order processing times.
- Support continuous improvement projects within Supply Chain.
- Participate in root cause analysis of recurring Fulfilment issues.
Compliance
& Quality
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Adhere to inventory control and dispatch authorization requirements.
- Maintain proper documentation and audit trails.
- Support internal and external audits as required.
- Ensure safe handling and storage practices are followed.
Key Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in: Supply Chain Management, Logistics,
Procurement, Business Administration, Operations Management, Related field
- Professional Qualifications (Preferred) CIPS, KISM
Certification, APICS / CSCP (advantageous), Relevant
ERP training
- 3-5 years’ experience in: Order fulfilment, Inventory
control,Warehouse operations, Logistics coordination, Supply chain
administration
- Preferred Experience Manufacturing
environment,FMCG operations,ERP-based inventory management,Multi-location
inventory operations
- Technical Competencies Inventory management,Order
processing ,ERP systems (SAP, Dynamics, Sage, Odoo or similar), Warehouse
management, Logistics coordination, Data analysis
and reporting, Microsoft Excel (Intermediate to Advanced), Customer
