Job Summary: –
The
Direct Sales
Representatives will contact potential
customers; contact potential clients, and work to sell them products and
services offered by the Bank. They will also be required to handle basic
customer issues and escalate where and when necessary.
Key Responsibilities: –
- Actively sell and cross-sell the Bank’s products and services,
targeting both new and existing customers to enhance the Bank’s market
reach and product uptake.
- Persuade clients to open accounts with the Bank, following up on
dormant or unfunded accounts to encourage active usage and retention.
- Maintain and update customer sales databases regularly, ensuring
thorough follow-up on referrals to generate potential leads and convert
them into clients.
- Conduct market research during field assignments to gather valuable
insights and feedback from customers, reporting findings to the sales
managers / supervisors.
- Actively participate in the promotion of new products and services,
supporting marketing activations and campaigns to increase product
visibility and customer engagement.
- Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports,
tracking prospective business pipelines to provide management with updated
sales trends.
- Conduct presentations to potential customers to effectively
communicate the benefits of opening accounts with Premier Bank Kenya
(PBK), aiming to secure new account openings.
- Undertake any other duties assigned by management to support overall
business objectives and goals.
Qualifications:
- Hold a Diploma in Sales & Marketing; A bachelor’s degree in
business administration, Marketing, Public Relations preferred.
- Professional Sales qualifications and/or experience a plus.
- Have a minimum of one (1) year relevant work experience in a similar
position with a proven result oriented track record.
- Have strong sales, business development and customer service
orientation/experience.

- Sound knowledge of the Bank’s products and services; CBK Prudential
Guidelines (KYC and account opening requirements).

- Knowledge in and understanding of markets and customer needs/trends
- Have a high sense of professionalism, diplomacy and patience.
- Passion for championing superior level of customer service.
- Ability to network, build and maintain excellent relationships with
customers and colleagues.
- Ability to convince and close deals customers.
- Have good PR/interpersonal skills, have outstanding reporting
skills, problem analysis, time management and listening ability.
- Computer skills: Must be adept in use of Ms Word, Excel, Access,
power-point, Internet and email.
- Honest and with high integrity.
