Principal Corporate Communication Job in Kenya - NLAS

NLAS is hiring a Principal Corporate Communication Officer skilled in media relations, public relations strategy, corporate communications, and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have;

  • At least nine (9) years cumulative work experience, three (3) of which should have been at the grade of senior Corporate Communication Officer or in a comparable position in the Private or Public sector;

  • Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines, Journalism, Mass Communication, Marketing, Public Relations, Communication and Media or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
  • Certificate in Management Course
  • Membership to a relevant profession body where applicable;
  • Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.

Duties and Responsibilities

The Principal Corporate Communication, is responsible for the following functions;

  • Initiating and develop appropriate communication strategies;
  • Coordinating preparation of publication materials;
  • Maintaining media database;
  • Preparing annual plans and budget;
  • Maintaining mailing list of all stakeholders;
  • Managing linkages with other stakeholders; and
  • Organizing protocol and media events.

Remuneration will be in accordance with NLAS Salary Scale:

NLAS GRADE 5. Kshs. 128,570 x 10,755 – 139,325 x 10,755 – 150,080 x 10,755 – 160,835 x 10,755 – 171,590 x 10,755 – 182,345 x 10,755 – 193,100 x 10,755 – 203,855 p.m.
