NLAS is hiring a Deputy Director, Internal Audit and Risk Assurance skilled in public sector auditing, risk management, and governance compliance.

Qualifications
For
appointment to this grade, a candidate must have;
- At least fifteen (15) Years cumulative work experience, three (3) of
which should have been at the grade of Assistant Director, Internal Audit
or in a comparable position in the Public or Private sector;
- Master’s degree in any of the following disciplines: Business
Administration (Finance); Business Administration (Accounting); Finance or
equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
- Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounts, Business
Administration or relevant qualifications from a recognized institution;
- CPA (K), or CIA, or Certified Chartered Accountant (ACCA), relevant
qualifications from a recognized institution;
- Must be a member with the Institute of Certified Public Accountants
of Kenya (ICPAK) or the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) in good
standing;
- Certificate in Leadership Course
- Demonstrated merit and ability as reflected in work performance and
results.
Duties and Responsibilities
- The Deputy Director Internal Audit and Risk Assurance is responsible
for the following functions;
- Developing and reviewing annual audit plan;
- Overseeing the audit of all operations and systems;
- Reviewing and compiling the audit report for all risk-based audits
conducted by Internal Audit staff and following up implementation of the
audit recommendations;
- Overseeing the implementation of the annual audit plan as approved,
including as appropriate any special tasks or projects requested by
management and the Audit Committee;
- Formulating and coordinating implementation of internal audit
strategies, policies and plans;
- Overseeing the training and development of Audit staff; and
- Secretary to the Audit Committee.
Remuneration
will be in accordance with NLAS Salary Scale:
- NLAS GRADE 3: Ksh. 202,875 x 19,303 – 22,2178 x 19,305 – 241,483 x
19,305 – 260,788 x 19,305 – 280,093 x 19,305 – 299,398 x 19,305 – 318,703
x 19,305 – 338,008 x 19,305 – 357,313 p.m
