Regulatory Affairs Manager Job in Kenya

About the Role

A leading multinational is seeking a Regulatory Affairs Manager to oversee technical regulatory affairs within Kenya. You will ensure compliance with local and regional requirements, support innovation processes, and provide strategic guidance on claims, labelling, permits, and quality standards. The role requires strong leadership, stakeholder management, and the ability to shape regulatory outcomes to support sustainable business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage regulatory affairs, ensuring compliance with local frameworks and standards
  • Provide timely input into innovation processes and risk assessments
  • Support claims development and adherence to existing and proposed regulations

  • Ensure compliance of products, labels, and advertising with local requirements
  • Lead the regulatory agenda and cascade information internally to educate stakeholders
  • Represent the business in external forums, industry associations, and with regulators
  • Build relationships with external authorities and key opinion leaders
  • Monitor emerging regulatory issues and advise on strategic approaches

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Pharmacy, Biochemistry, Regulatory Affairs, Law, or related discipline
  • Master’s degree in Regulatory Affairs, Public Health, or Business Administration is an advantage
  • Significant experience in regulatory affairs within FMCG, pharmaceuticals, or similarly regulated industries
  • Demonstrated experience engaging with regulators, standards bodies, and industry associations
  • Strong knowledge of product registration, labelling, claims substantiation, advertising compliance, and permits
  • Professional certification in regulatory affairs or compliance is desirable
