Peace & Social Justice Intern Job in Kenya - RCK

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the planning and implementation of peacebuilding, conflict prevention, transformation and social justice initiatives.
  • Support community outreach and engagement with key stakeholders, including civil society organizations, community leaders, government actors, refugees and host communities.
  • Support the organization and facilitation of community dialogues, Funnel dialogue approach and conflict prevention trainings and stakeholder engagement forums.
  • Assist in data collection, analysis and reporting related to peace and social justice program outcomes and impact.
  • Contribute to research, documentation, success stories, case studies and learning products on peacebuilding and conflict transformation interventions.
  • Support advocacy initiatives, campaigns and capacity-building activities under the pillar.

  • Provide administrative support, including scheduling meetings, taking minutes and maintaining project documentation.
  • Participate in RCK’s wider programmatic interventions as may be assigned from time to time.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Peace and Conflict Studies, International Relations, Development Studies, Diplomacy, Political Science, or a related field of social sciences.
  • Strong interest in peacebuilding, conflict transformation, social justice, governance and humanitarian work.
  • Basic understanding of conflict dynamics, social cohesion and community-based peace approaches.
  • Conversant with research, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
