City Eye Hospital is looking for a hands-on Optical Shop Coordinator to oversee day-to-day operations across our Main Nairobi and Nyeri optical shops.
This
is a multi-site, performance-driven role for someone who is comfortable
balancing operations, people leadership, inventory control, and sales targets,
while maintaining high standards of customer experience and product quality.
What you’ll be
responsible for
- Overseeing daily operations of both optical shops, ensuring accurate
transactions and adherence to SOPs
- Driving revenue and profitability targets while maintaining cost
efficiency
- Managing inventory, assets, and stock takes
- Coordinating between sales, technicians, and quality control to
ensure timely and accurate order fulfilment
- Monitoring lost sales and drop-offs, and actively following up to
improve conversion
- Handling customer complaints and repeat jobs decisively and
professionally
- Preparing clear, accurate management reports that reflect true
performance across both locations
- Supervising, coaching, and developing a small team to build a strong
performance culture
- Ensuring consistent service quality and standards across Nairobi and
Nyeri
What we’re looking for
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales & Marketing, or
a related field
- At least 3 years’ experience in retail coordination, shop
management, or multi-site operations
- Strong financial and commercial awareness (targets, margins, cost
control)
- Experience managing people and holding teams accountable for
performance
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Highly organised, proactive, and comfortable working with minimal
supervision
- Willingness to travel between Nairobi and Nyeri as required
- Experience in optical retail is an advantage
