KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Warmly welcome patients and visitors, provide
information, directions, and offer support, particularly to anxious
individuals.
- Ensure an efficient flow of patients through the
department by coordinating check-ins and check-outs and notifying clinical
staff of patient arrivals.
- Book, schedule, and reschedule patient
appointments and procedures using the relevant hospital systems.
- Register new patients and verify/update existing
demographic and insurance information in the Electronic Patient Records
(EPR) or patient administration systems.
- Strictly adhere to data protection and
confidentiality policies when handling sensitive patient information.
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Diploma in a business related course.
- A minimum of two years of
working experience in a similar role, preferably within a busy hospital or
healthcare front office/reception.
- Familiarity with Medical terminology: Knowledge
of basic medical terms and procedures is often preffered.
- Experience with Healthcare Software: Basic
proficiency in handling hospital management systems or electronic health
record systems (e.g HMIS, Medisoft, or Health Information Systems).
