Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintaining a database of relevant market
information on all key items of supplies and goods of major interest to
the programs
- Maintaining and updating the inventory records
and assets register on annual basis
- Supporting the internal and external auditors
during the audit process.
- Undertaking Projects financial payments, filling
of requisition request forms and undertakes the Quick books processes.
- Preparing of requisitions for supplies and
contingency monies and ensure disbursement
- Handling petty cash for the projects
- Ensuring that all provisions of the KC,
policies, guidelines and templates are implemented
- Creating and updating expense reports.
- Preparing bank deposits, payment vouchers and
writing cheques
- Entering financial transactions into QuickBooks
(Data Entry)
- Issuing invoices to customers and external
partners, as needed
- Scanning of financial documents and filling
documents
- Providing support to the accounting and
administration department.
- Performs any other duty/duties assigned by the
Chief Accountant.
Minimum Qualifications/Requirements:
- CPA II (Section 4) or relevant field
- Work experience as an Accounts Assistant or
accounts Clerk (Min. 3 years of experience).
- Knowledge of basic bookkeeping procedures.
- Familiarity with finance regulations (SoPs)
- Good math skills and the ability to spot
numerical errors
- Hands-on experience with MS Excel and accounting
software (e.g. QuickBooks)
- Ability to handle sensitive, confidential
information
