The Cashier will manage transactions and provide excellent customer service at the point of sale.
Key duties include:
- Process guest payments accurately using
point-of-sale (POS) systems, handling cash, card, and mobile transactions.
- Greet guests courteously, addressing inquiries
and providing information on menu items or promotions.
- Maintain a clean and organized cashier station,
ensuring efficient transaction workflows.
- Verify bills and ensure accuracy before
finalizing payments to avoid discrepancies.
- Collaborate with Waiters and management to resolve
payment-related issues promptly.
- Track daily sales and prepare accurate financial
reports for management review.
- Assist with guest check-ins and reservations as
needed to support front-of-house operations.
- Promote a positive and professional image of
Sierra Restaurants during all guest interactions.
Qualifications
- Diploma in a
related field, such as
Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management, Food and Beverage Service, or
Business Administration, from a recognized institution.
- Minimum of two
years’ experience in a fine
dining restaurant, demonstrating expertise in culinary preparation (for
Sauciers and Grill Chefs) or guest service (for Waiters and Cashiers).
- Excellent
communication skills to
interact professionally with guests, colleagues, and management in
English; proficiency in Swahili is an advantage for local engagement.
- Aged between
25–35 years
