If so, we invite you to join our team as a Digital Solutions Expert in Nairobi. In this role, you will support INENSUS in delivering
digitalisation solutions to our clients.
Responsibilities
The tasks for this role include both (software) engineering and IT:
- Integration of
IT Systems & Remote Monitoring: Oversee the integration of IT systems
within mini-grid
- projects,
including remote monitoring solutions and data collection systems. Work
closely with software
- developers to
design, implement, and operate digital solutions for the monitoring and
management of
- energy systems
in the field.
- Coordination of
Cross-Functional Teams: Manage coordination between engineering teams,
software
- developers, and
other stakeholders to ensure smooth implementation and project delivery.
This includes facilitating communication between internal teams and
external stakeholders for successful project development.
- Technical
Support for Operations: In consultancy projects, provide internal IT
support, assisting colleagues with technical queries related to Windows,
office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint),and
- supporting the
development and optimization of Excel-based tools.
- Conceptualization
of software: Designing software in the context of energy access projects,
includinguser experience, user interface and integration of software
solution
Your
qualifications, skills and experience
- A degree
(Bachelor’s or Master’s) in Engineering, IT, Software Engineering or a
related technical field.
- Excellent
proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), ideally
including basic knowledge of VBA. An interest in loT technologies, VPN or
network administration will be a plus.
- Experience in
working at the interface of software development and engineering
- Strong written
and verbal communication skills in English (C1); knowledge of French will
be a plus.
- A keen eye for
“good user design” (UX and UI)
- Experience in
implementing and managing open source software
- Desirable:
Programming experience in Python, scripting, other languages
- Detail-orientation
and strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks
efficiently.
- A team-oriented
mindset with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional
and multinational teams.
- Flexibility in
