About Samaking
Samaking is transforming Africa’s fish industry by sourcing
high-quality fish directly from farmers and fisherfolk, and distributing it
through both retail and B2B channels. Our mission is to make fish the number
one protein choice across Africa while improving livelihoods across the fish
value chain.
Position Overview
We’re looking for a Growth-driven Marketing Intern who’s hungry
to learn, execute, and drive measurable results. This isn’t a “support” role.
You’ll be testing, optimizing, and building systems that fuel Samaking’s
customer acquisition, retention, and brand growth—online and in the field.
You’ll also lead content creation that supports growth goals,
and build out structured community systems that improve customer engagement and
loyalty.
Key Responsibilities
Growth Marketing & Funnel Optimization (Core Focus)
- Run
and optimize paid campaigns across Meta, TikTok, and Google Ads—manage
budget pacing, A/B tests, and reporting.
- Track
key metrics (CPL, CAC, ROAS, retention) and propose tactical experiments
weekly.
- Support
growth loops: referral programs, group buys, WhatsApp-driven campaigns,
shop-based activations.
- Collaborate
with field, ops, and product teams to run full-funnel experiments (top to
bottom).
- Maintain
dashboards for campaign tracking and growth KPIs.
Content Creation for Acquisition & Engagement
- Plan
and produce content that supports acquisition: short videos, testimonials,
field stories, promo clips.
- Own
filming, editing, and publishing across platforms (Instagram, WhatsApp
Channels, TikTok, etc.).
- Create
reusable content libraries for performance creatives, field enablement,
and brand building.
- Align
content with growth objectives—CTR improvement, landing page conversion,
product education, etc.
Community Design & Systems
- Build
community management playbooks: tone, frequency, rules, escalation flows,
engagement calendars.
- Set
up message templates, FAQs, and best-practice kits for our customer care
and shop engagement teams.
- Support
small-scale loyalty programs, ambassador trials, and referral workflows.
- Track
group health and engagement metrics (activity, churn, conversion
triggers).
Qualifications
- Final-year
student or recent graduate in Marketing, Business, Communication, or
similar.
- Deep
curiosity about growth—performance marketing, funnel thinking, conversion
strategy.
- Skilled
with content tools (CapCut, VN, InShot) and familiar with Meta/TikTok ad
platforms (or willing to learn fast).
- Strong
analytical instincts—you don’t just post, you test.
- Clear
communicator with a sharp eye for community building and storytelling.
- Bonus:
You’ve run a campaign, managed a social page, or built something from
scratch—even small.
