Purpose:
The holder of this position will work closely with
the ARO and assist in data collection, organization, transcription and analysis
for Vukisha95 Project in Kisii County.
Key Responsibilities
Data Collection:
- Assist in designing and implementing data collection
instruments (e.g., surveys, interviews, focus groups)
- Conduct primary data collection through various methods such
as interviews and abstraction of data
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of collected data
Data Management:
- Organize and manage datasets, ensuring that data is properly
stored and easily accessible
- Maintain detailed records of data collection processes and
data management activities
- Ensure compliance with ethical guidelines and confidentiality
agreements
3. Data Analysis:
- Transcribe qualitative data from interviews, focus groups, and
other sources
- Code and analyze qualitative data using NVivo software
- Assist in identifying patterns, themes, and insights
from the data
- Prepare data for presentations, reports, and publications
Report Writing:
- Assist in writing research reports
- Summarize findings and prepare visual representations of data,
such as charts, graphs, and tables
Competency Criteria
Education Requirements, Qualification and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field (e.g., Sociology,
Psychology, Education, Public Health)
- Experience in qualitative research methods and data
collection
- Proficiency in NVivo software for qualitative data
analysis
- Familiarity with research ethics and confidentiality
protocols
- Training on Good Clinical Practices or Protection of
Human Subjects
