About the role


  • BURN is seeking an experienced Contract Compliance Officer with a great ability to interpret contracts, strong attention to detail, and outstanding communication skills.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Implement and manage an effective carbon legal compliance program and improve on existing systems.
  • Review all carbon contracts and fully understand the requirements.
  • Maintain detailed summaries of contract requirements for reference.
  • Create and maintain schedules for all reporting requirements and contract deadlines.
  • Actively communicate any deadlines under contracts with relevant team members.
  • Assess contract compliance risk and proactively report to the manager.
  • Assist in developing, improving and maintaining SOPs around contract reporting and requirements.

Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor/Master’s degree in legal, finance, business administration, or relevant field.
  • Minimum 3 years of working experience in a compliance role.
  • Good knowledge of legal requirements and procedures.
  • Brilliant oral and written communication skills.
  • Highly analytical with strong attention to detail.
  • Experience in carbon is preferable.
  • Ability to be exceptionally organized and proficient at multi-tasking.
  • Excellent problem-finding and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Proactive attitude
