Chef De Cuisine Job in Kenya

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute innovative Southeast Asian-inspired menus, showcasing the vibrant flavors and diverse ingredients of the region.
  • Lead and supervise the kitchen team, ensuring smooth and efficient operations during service.
  • Maintain a high level of food quality and consistency through active participation in the preparation and presentation of dishes.
  • Manage inventory, including ordering ingredients, monitoring stock levels, and minimizing waste.
  • Collaborate with the management team to develop strategies for revenue growth and cost control.
  • Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a positive and supportive work environment.
  • Ensure that all kitchen operations adhere to health and safety regulations and maintain high standards of cleanliness.

Required Qualifications And Experience:


  • Culinary degree or certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Chef de Cuisine or similar role, with a proven track record in Asian – Pan Asian cuisine.
  • Excellent knowledge of Asian culinary techniques, ingredients, and flavor profiles (Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, and any additional is a plus).
  • Creative and innovative approach to menu development, showcasing a passion for Asian cuisine.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
