architectural firm dedicated to excellence in architectural design and
construction projects is looking for a dedicated Environmental
Health and safety professional to join the team. Our projects span from
innovative residential designs to large-scale commercial developments. We

The
Health and Safety Professional will play a critical role in ensuring the safety
and regulatory compliance of our construction projects. This role involves
supervising construction sites, implementing safety policies, conducting risk
assessments, and promoting a culture of safety across all project stakeholders.
As an integral part of our team, you’ll have the opportunity to blend
creativity with safety measures, ensuring that our designs not only inspire but
also prioritize the well-being of people and the planet.
Key Responsibilities.
Develop,
implement, and monitor comprehensive health and safety policies and procedures.
Conduct
regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety standards
and regulations.
Identify
potential hazards and implement appropriate preventive measures.
Lead
safety training sessions and workshops for staff and contractors.
Investigate
accidents and incidents and prepare detailed reports with recommendations for
corrective actions.
Liaise
with project managers, contractors, and regulatory bodies to ensure effective
communication and compliance.
Conduct
thorough EHS assessments and implement appropriate measures throughout the
project lifecycle.
Stay
updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to EHS in
architecture.
Qualifications:
Minimum
bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety /environmental /social
sciences / or related degree from an accredited institution.
Registered
EIA Lead expert with NEMA and Environmental Institute of Kenya. (EIK)
Minimum
of 5 years of experience in health and safety management, preferably within the
construction or architectural industry.
Professional
certification (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA, IOSH) is highly desirable.
Proficiency
in Microsoft Office Suite and safety management software’s is desirable.
In-depth
knowledge of health and safety regulations and practices, Strong analytical and
problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills and
