Somalia wishes to establish an updated shortlist of selected agents/companies
capable of providing logistics
services to Somalia, i.e. shipping, warehousing and transport of humanitarian commodities.
Interested agents/companies should contact the WFP Country Office in Nairobi or WFP Sub Offices in Hargeisa,
Bossaso and Mogadishu (contact details provided below) in order to collect a WFP Transport Questionnaire.
Interested agent/company must submit all of the below listed required documents to one of the above WFP offices.
Required documents to be submitted:
1. A Letter of Interest;
2. An original letter of support from the interested agent/company’s principal financial banker outlining the interested agent/company’s financial status and credibility. If such a letter is issued in the name of an individual (guarantor) related to the interested agent/company, the interested agent/company should clearly state on the letter of interest the guarantor’s exact position in the company and/or other links with the company.
2. Completed WFP Transport Questionnaires;
3. Company’s Audited Financial Statements for the past 2 years (year 2009 & 2010 or 2010 & 2011 if the
statement for 2011 is ready);
4. Company’s Certificate of Incorporation.
The required documents listed above must be submitted to one of the above WFP offices by no later than end of
business day (14:00 hrs) on Thursday, the 20th of January 2012.
Important Notice: Please note that short-listing of agents/companies does not bind WFP Somalia to offer a service award at any time.
