Field Coordinator Job in Kenya - IRES

Field Coordinator manages on-site project logistics, stakeholder relations, and training delivery, requires a Social Sciences/Business Degree and 3+ years field operations experience. Full-time role in Zimbabwe.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated Field Coordinator to manage field operations, primary data collection, and community engagement for an upcoming end-of-project evaluation of a health and disability-inclusive development project.

Key Responsibilities:

Coordinate ground-level field deployment, data collection schedules, and field research teams.

Facilitate community engagement, local stakeholder consultations, and field data collection activities.

Oversee qualitative and quantitative field data collection to ensure high data quality, ethics, and protocol adherence.

Support lead technical evaluators in organizing focus group discussions, key informant interviews, and field site visits.

Consolidate field reports, data logs, and field documentation for the evaluation team.

Minimum Qualifications and Professional Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, or a related field.

Minimum 3 years of experience in field coordination, primary data collection, or community engagement.

Practical operational experience and geographical knowledge of Masvingo Province preferred.

Technical Competencies

Field operations management; primary data collection; quantitative and qualitative survey execution; community engagement; field logistics.

Key Skills and Attributes

Strong organizational, team supervision, and logistical management capabilities.

Excellent interpersonal and community facilitation skills.

Fluent in English and Shona (written and spoken).

Consultancy Role Focus:

Direct operational coordination, field survey management, community liaison, and data quality assurance across Masvingo Province.

Mode of Engagement:

Successful candidates will be engaged as external consultant specialists for the assignment. The scope of work, assignment duration, and professional fees will be finalized upon engagement.
