Responsible for supporting film projects, developing creative content, assisting with filming and production activities, preparing communication materials, managing digital content, coordinating production teams, and supporting storytelling projects. Requires a relevant qualification in Film, Media, Communication, Journalism, or a related field. The position is based in Nairobi and requires on-site work.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop
original ideas, concepts and storylines.
- Write
scripts, treatments and creative outlines for film, TV, digital and social
content.
- Craft
authentic, compelling characters and narratives.
- Research,
interview and turn real stories into powerful scripts.
- Collaborate
with directors, producers and the wider creative team through revisions.
Qualifications
- Proven
writing experience for film, TV, documentary, digital or theatre (samples
required).
- Strong
storytelling skills and an understanding of narrative structure.
- Ability
to write in different formats (e.g. scripts, treatments, short form, long
form).
- Curiosity
about people, cultures and social issues.
- Adaptability,
openness to feedback and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- A
passion for stories that create positive change.
