Africa Global Logistics is hiring a Drive 2030 – Deployment Officer M/F to support project implementation, coordinate deployment activities, and ensure effective execution of logistics initiatives. The role is based in Nairobi. Proven experience in training delivery is required.
Mission Description
- The Deployment Officer
(DO) plays a key role in the successful rollout of Drive Transport
Management System across countries. Acting as a local execution backbone,
the DO bridges business teams, Key Users, and the Central Project Team to
ensure solution readiness, effective training, and smooth Go-live
adoption.
- The role combines
business and solution expertise, training delivery, testing coordination,
and post-Go-live support, with a strong focus on user enablement and
deployment quality.
Key
Responsibilities
Based in Nairobi and reporting
to the Drive Central Deployment team, the successful candidate will be
responsible for:-
Deployment Preparation
- Build strong knowledge of
DRIVE solutions, processes, and deployment methodology
- Support local deployment
preparation and prerequisites phase
- Enable and coordinate
DRIVE local template completion
- Prepare Key User
onboarding, training, and deployment readiness activities
Test & Validation
- Coordinate Key Users
during test definition and execution
- Consolidate test plans
and ensure business critical scenarios are prioritized
- Identify risks, defects,
and readiness gaps impacting deployment
- Ensure test environments
(data, access, tools) are ready
- Contribute to Go/No-Go
assessment through test and readiness insights
Training & Change Enablement
- Adapt and deliver
training materials for Key Users and End Users
- Deliver solution training
prior to Go-live
- Work closely with Change
Relay and Training Coordinator to ensure user readiness and adoption.
Go-Live & Hypercare
- Provide Level 2
functional support during hypercare
- Ensure proper usage and
prioritization of ticketing tools and escalation to Central Team (Level 3)
- Sensitivity: Internal
- Enable Key Users to
progressively take ownership of local support
- Deliver additional
training as needed post Go-live
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of
logistics and/or finance business processes (5 years’ experience on
legacies)
- Experience with IT
solutions and digital tools; TMS knowledge is a plus
- Proven experience in
training delivery and change management
- Project management
experience
- Strong command of
Microsoft O365 (PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, SharePoint)
- PROSCI certification
- Flexible to travel across
AGL Africa countries for training, Go-live, and support
