We’re searching for a dynamic Communicator to join our Nairobi office, working with international agencies, foundations and nonprofits.
Your Role
In
this role, you’ll leverage your 6-10 years of international public relations
experience to make a difference on crucial social justice issues including
income inequality and sovereign debt, gender equality, food security, climate
change, and global health. Your work will be instrumental in shaping narratives
that drive change.

Your Qualifications
- Skilled Communicator: Strong verbal and written communication
skills, including crafting key messages, press releases, op-eds and more.
- Strategic Thinker: Devise and execute comprehensive communications
strategies tailored to diverse audiences.
- Accomplished Media Relations Professional: Cultivate and maintain
relationships with journalists in international, regional and in-country
media outlets to secure earned media opportunities; identify strong
narratives for journalist site visits and able to work with local
community and NGO partners to organize and execute media trips and travel
into the field to accompany journalists; organize and staff press
conferences; and is versed in pitching media contacts via PR outreach
databases, email, social media, WhatsApp and phone.
- Exceptional Project Manager: Strong project management skills; able
to juggle multiple projects and work with disparate teams, including
across varying time zones.
- Digital Innovator: Integrate digital strategies into your
communications approach to maximize audience engagement and story uptake.
- Content Enthusiast: Display a passion for diving into content areas
like sovereign debt, ocean protection, climate change and global health.
