ROLE SUMMARY
The Front
Office Executive is the first point of contact at RKJMS
and is responsible for delivering a professional, courteous, and efficient
patient experience. The role supports smooth patient flow, accurate information
management, billing support, and effective coordination across departments in
line with RKJMS service standards and healthcare regulations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Receive, welcome, and direct patients and
visitors professionally
- Register patients and update records accurately
in the Hospital Information System (HIS)
- Verify patient identification, insurance, and
referral details
- Schedule and manage patient appointments and
queues
- Handle calls, emails, and walk-in inquiries
efficiently
- Provide information on hospital services,
clinics, and billing procedures
- Support billing, invoicing, receipts, NHIF, and
insurance processes
- Maintain accurate records, registers, and daily
handover reports
- Coordinate with doctors, nurses, diagnostics,
pharmacy, and billing teams
- Uphold customer service standards,
confidentiality, and professionalism
- Adhere to hospital SOPs, IPC guidelines, and
ethical standards
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- KCSE Certificate
- Diploma in Front Office, Business
Administration, or Healthcare-related field is an added advantage
- 1–2 years’ experience in a hospital or
healthcare front office
- Knowledge of HIS/EMR systems and basic billing
processes
- Strong customer service, communication, and
organizational skills
