Job Title: Supermarket Cashier

Duties & Responsibilities
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system to
process customer purchases, returns, and exchanges
- Accurately handle cash, mobile money, and card
payments
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area
- Assist customers with inquiries and provide
helpful product information
- Monitor and replenish checkout supplies (e.g.,
shopping bags, receipt paper)
- Report any discrepancies, malfunctions, or
unusual customer behavior to the supervisor
- Follow all cash handling procedures and company
policies
- Assist with general supermarket duties as
required (e.g., restocking shelves during downtime)
Requirements
- KCSE Certificate
- Proven experience as a cashier in a retail
store or restaurant
- Strong
knowledge of POS systems and
basic accounting principles
- Excellent customer service skills with
a polite and professional demeanor
- Ability to multitask and
work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
