Qualifications
For appointment to this grade, a
candidate must have:
- a Bachelors Degree in Finance, Accounting,
Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent qualification from
a university recognized in Kenya; and
- certification in certified Public Accountant
[CPA(K)], Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or Association of Chartered
Certified Accountants (ACCA)
Note:
possession of Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)
certificate will be considered as an added advantage.
Duties and Responsibilities
- preparing annual audit plan for review and
approval by the Head of the Internal Audit Department;
- preparing engagement plans for review and
approval by the Head of the Internal Audit Department;
- carrying out audits and investigations as
assigned by the supervisor;
- documenting clear, comprehensive, and objective
working papers that support audit findings and conclusions;
- collecting and analyzing data to support audit
findings
- communicating control deficiencies, audit
observations, potential risks and recommendations to the supervising
auditor in a timely manner;
- assisting in monitoring and tracking the
implementation of management actions and recommendations from previous
audits;
- recording proceedings of the entry and Exit
meetings with Audit clients; and
- assisting in administrative activities related
to the day-to-day affairs of the Department as required
