Position Overview
As a Storekeeper
Intern, you will assist in receiving,
recording, and issuing company materials and equipment while ensuring accuracy
and organization. You will work closely with the procurement, logistics, and
technical teams to support daily operations and learn best practices in
inventory control.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in receiving, inspecting, and recording
incoming stock and deliveries.
- Support in maintaining accurate stock records,
bin cards, and delivery notes.
- Help update and reconcile stock cards and
digital inventory records.
- Participate in preparing weekly and monthly
stock summaries.
- Assist in issuing materials, tools, and
equipment as per requests.
- Record stock movements under supervision to
ensure accountability.
- Support in tracking returns and assessing the
condition of returned tools or assets.
- Help maintain store cleanliness, organization,
and compliance with safety standards.
- Monitor stock levels and report low stock items
to supervisors.
- Assist during internal and external audits by
preparing inventory data.
- Learn and contribute to process improvements in
inventory control.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management,
Procurement, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field
(ongoing or completed).
- Basic knowledge of store keeping procedures and
inventory management is an advantage.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; exposure to ERP
or inventory systems is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational
skills.
- Good communication skills and ability to work in
a team.
- Eagerness to learn and grow in inventory and
logistics management.
