Job Tittle: Sonographer/ Radiographer,
Reports To: Head of
Clinical Services,
Purpose of the Job:
The Sonographer will
primarily be responsible for providing quality ultrasound services to our
clients, reviewing and analyzing reports and producing the same for physician
review.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Performing all ultrasound procedures including bedside
sonography to our patients.
- Take responsibility for keeping the department in general and
specifically the work area, clean, tidy and safe.
- Patient preparation before ultrasound procedure.
- Generate and archive images and accurate patient reports as
required
- Taking part in routine inspection of equipment and quality
assurance procedures, reporting any deficiencies or malfunction to the
appropriate manager.
- Ensuring effective and economic use of resources.
- Safeguarding hospital equipment and patient’s property from
damage, wastage or loss.
- Safeguarding all confidential information concerning patients
and their treatment.
- Keeping up-to-date with current techniques and developments
in sonography.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Higher Diploma in Ultrasound
- Diploma in Medical Imaging Sciences
- At least two (2) years working experience in a busy facility
- Registered and with a valid license from Kenya Nuclear
Regulatory Authority
- Member of the Society of Radiography in Kenya (SORK)
- Proficient in computer applications with good communication
& Interpersonal skills
