Finance Officer I
Responsibilities
- An officer at this level will be responsible for the
following duties:
- Participating in the preparation of the Commission’s Medium
Term Expenditure Framework (MTEF);
- Participating in the preparation of annual budgets in
collaboration with all departments/units;
- Participating in the allocation and utilization of financial
resources
- Participating in forecasting and monitoring expenditure;
- Prioritizing projects and activities for the purpose of
financial allocations in the budget;
- Preparing periodic financial reports; and
- Assisting in the preparation of annual budgets and work plans.
Qualifications
- Served in the grade of Finance Officer II for a minimum
period of three(3) years;
- A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Commerce (Finance Option),
Business Administration (Finance Option) or any other relevant and
comparable qualification from a recognized institution;
- Attended a supervisory skills course in a recognized
institution;
- Knowledge in computerized financial management systems;
- Met the requirements of chapter six (6) of the constitution
of Kenya, 2010;
- Been a Member of a relevant professional body where
applicable; and
- Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.
