Finance & Accounts Officer II manages vote book accounting, processing payments, and ledger reconciliations, requires a Finance/Accounting Degree. Full-time role in Nairobi.
Duties
and responsibilities: –
Capturing
income and expenditure data in the accounting system;
Maintaining
the general ledger;
Supporting
tax accounting and remitting statutory deductions;
Keeping
safe custody of payments and journal vouchers;
Identifying
officers with outstanding balances and ascertaining closing balances at the end
of every month;
Processing
payments and other disbursements;
Issuing
demand notes and following up on delinquent accounts;
Preparing
payment vouchers;
Reconciling
Pesaflow statements
Preparing
customer invoices for the services rendered; and
Undertaking
regular banking.

Specifications
For appointment to this grade a candidate must have:
–
Bachelor’s
degree in any of the following disciplines: – Finance, Accounting, Commerce
(Finance/Accounting Option), Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Actuarial
Science, Economics and Finance, Economics and Statistics, Business Management,
Business Administration or its equivalent qualification from a recognized
institution; and
Proficiency
in computer applications.
