Position Summary
We are
seeking a detail-oriented Data Quality Analyst to join our team. This role will
be responsible for validating data accuracy, testing APIs, and ensuring
the quality and reliability of data-related systems and processes. The ideal
candidate has a solid understanding of QA fundamentals, strong analytical
skills, and a passion for identifying issues before they impact customers or
business operations.
Key Responsibilities
Execute
functional, regression, integration, and data validation testing.
Validate
and analyze large datasets to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and
consistency.
Test APIs
and verify data exchanged between systems.
Create,
execute, and document test cases, test plans, and test results.
Identify,
document, and track defects through resolution.
Collaborate
with developers, product managers, and business stakeholders to clarify
requirements and ensure quality standards are met.
Participate
in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and
backlog refinement.
Support
UAT efforts and help validate business requirements.
Perform
root cause analysis for data quality issues and recommend corrective actions.
Continuously
improve testing processes, methodologies, and quality practices.
Key Competencies
Strong
understanding of QA fundamentals, testing principles, and Software Testing Life
Cycle (STLC).
Clear
understanding of different testing types, including regression testing, UAT,
functional testing, and integration testing.
Experience
working with and validating large datasets.
Basic
understanding of SQL and the ability to query data for validation purposes.
Experience
testing and validating APIs.
Strong
analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability
to work independently, take initiative, and follow through with minimal
supervision.
Excellent
attention to detail and organizational skills.
Comfortable
working in a fast-paced, Agile environment.
Strong
written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Hands-on
experience writing and executing SQL queries.
Experience
using API testing tools such as Postman or similar platforms.
Experience
writing Python scripts for test automation, validation, or data analysis.
Exposure
to test management and defect tracking tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, or
similar.
Experience
with data warehouse, ETL, or data pipeline testing.
