Job Description
This role
will support the Credit Operations Senior Manager and the wider Global Credit
team in driving the execution, tracking and institutionalization of credit
initiatives across d.light’s OpCos.The role will combine credit performance
analysis, project coordination, operational follow-up, reporting,documentation
and stakeholder coordination. The Associate will help ensure that global credit
initiatives move from design to implementation effectively, performance is
tracked consistently, learnings and best practices are captured and shared
across markets.
Roles
& Responsibilities
Credit Performance Monitoring &
Analysis
Support
the preparation of weekly and monthly global Credit Performance reports.
Identify
emerging performance gaps and trends and flag areas requiring management
attention.
Support
deep-dive analysis of underperforming markets, products, cohorts and customer
segments.
Develop
performance trackers and dashboards in collaboration with BI.
Credit Initiative & Project
Management
Support
the Senior Manager in coordinating the rollout of global Credit initiatives
across OpCos.
Maintain
project plans, timelines, action trackers and implementation milestones.
Follow up
with relevant stakeholders to ensure actions and deliverables are completed on
time.
Track
initiative performance against agreed objectives and document outcomes.
Support
pilots and experiments by coordinating test cohorts, data requirements and
performance readouts.
Escalate
project risks, delays & dependencies to Credit Operations Senior Manager.
OpCo & Cross-Functional Coordination
Act as a
coordination point between Global Credit, OpCo Credit Managers and relevant
customer-facing teams.
Support
regular follow-ups with Commercial, CX, Aftersales and Field Collections teams
on Credit initiatives.
Coordinate
collection and performance improvement actions across markets.
Support
preparation of materials for Credit reviews, leadership meetings and Credit
Circles.
Ensure
agreed actions from global and OpCo Credit reviews are tracked through to
completion.
Oversee
all fraud management processes across OpCos, with clear reporting lines &
escalations.
SOP, Process & Knowledge Management
Support
the development and updating of Credit SOPs, process documents, playbooks and
training materials.
Maintain
a central repository of Credit Operations best practices, lessons learned and
implementation materials.
Document
successful pilots and initiatives for potential replication across other OpCos.
Support
the standardisation of Credit processes and operating practices across markets.
Training & Change Management Support
Work with
the Credit Operations Senior Manager and Training teams to coordinate training
requirements for new Credit initiatives.
Support
the development of training materials, FAQs, communication packs and
implementation guides.
Track
training completion and readiness across OpCos.
Capture
feedback from field teams and incorporate relevant learnings into future
initiatives.
Technology & BI Coordination
Support
requirements gathering for Credit-related Technology and BI enhancements.
Coordinate
UAT activities and track issues through resolution.
Work with
BI teams to validate Credit reports, dashboards and automated metrics.
Support
the rollout and adoption of new Credit tools and digital workflows.
Ensure
relevant performance information is available and accessible to the appropriate
teams.
Executive Reporting & Communication
Support
preparation of weekly, monthly and quarterly Credit performance updates.
Prepare
charts, scorecards and executive summaries highlighting key trends, risks and
opportunities.
Support
preparation of presentations for Exec, Board and Senior Leadership discussions.
Ensure
reporting is accurate, timely and aligned with agreed Credit definitions and
KPIs.
Requirements
Bachelor’s
degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Statistics, Accounting,
Credit or a related field. Credit Certifications are a strong plus
5+ years’
experience in Credit, Collections, Business Operations, Analytics, Project
Management or a related field.
Experience
working with Africa-based operations, preferably within PayGo, financial
services, fintech, asset finance or a related environment.
Strong
analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong
Google Sheets skills and familiarity with data visualization tools.
Experience
working with BI/data teams and interpreting performance dashboards.
Strong
project coordination and organizational skills.
Excellent
written and verbal communication skills.
Ability
to work effectively with cross-functional and geographically distributed teams.
