The Scheme wishes to recruit a Pension Scheme Administrator who will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for the effective administration, ensuring sound governance, regulatory compliance, prudent financial and investment management, and high-quality service delivery to members.
Key functions of the
position
- To provide leadership and oversight in engagements with the Board of
Trustees, Sponsor, regulators, and service providers.
- To oversee Scheme operations including accounts and investments,
benefits and records administration;
- To ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and
scheme policies.
- To coordinate risk management, internal controls, and business
continuity planning.
- To manage member engagements, regulatory reporting, and preparation
of Board and Committee documentation.
- To oversee accurate payment of member and dependent benefits and
provide professional advice to Trustees.
- To implement Board resolutions.
- To ensure sound financial management and reporting.
- To coordinate the development and operationalization of the
strategic plan
- To coordinate induction and mentorship of scheme’s employees
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Commerce, Finance, Strategic
Management, Business Administration or its equivalent.
- Master degree in Actuarial Science, Commerce, Finance, Strategic
Management, Business Administration or its equivalent;
- Professional accounting qualification (CPA(K), ACCA, or equivalent)
- Membership in a relevant professional body and in good standing;
- Certificate in pensions administration and management will be an
added advantage;
- Proficiency in pension administration and accounting software;
- Minimum of eight (8) years working experience in pension
administration, of which three (3) years must have been at senior
management level.
