Pension Scheme Administrator Job in Kenya - KARI SRBS

The Scheme wishes to recruit a Pension Scheme Administrator who will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for the effective administration, ensuring sound governance, regulatory compliance, prudent financial and investment management, and high-quality service delivery to members.

Key functions of the position

  • To provide leadership and oversight in engagements with the Board of Trustees, Sponsor, regulators, and service providers.
  • To oversee Scheme operations including accounts and investments, benefits and records administration;
  • To ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and scheme policies.
  • To coordinate risk management, internal controls, and business continuity planning.

  • To manage member engagements, regulatory reporting, and preparation of Board and Committee documentation.
  • To oversee accurate payment of member and dependent benefits and provide professional advice to Trustees.
  • To implement Board resolutions.
  • To ensure sound financial management and reporting.
  • To coordinate the development and operationalization of the strategic plan
  • To coordinate induction and mentorship of scheme’s employees

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Commerce, Finance, Strategic Management, Business Administration or its equivalent.
  • Master degree in Actuarial Science, Commerce, Finance, Strategic Management, Business Administration or its equivalent;
  • Professional accounting qualification (CPA(K), ACCA, or equivalent)
  • Membership in a relevant professional body and in good standing;
  • Certificate in pensions administration and management will be an added advantage;
  • Proficiency in pension administration and accounting software;
  • Minimum of eight (8) years working experience in pension administration, of which three (3) years must have been at senior management level.
