Duties and responsibilities will entail: –
- Disseminating information on recognition and equation of degrees,
diplomas and certificates conferred or awarded by foreign and private
universities;
- Implementing guidelines for Recognition and Equation of degrees,
diplomas and certificates conferred or accredited by Local, Foreign
Universities and Institutions;
- Evaluating applications for licensing from student recruitment
agencies;
- Designing instruments for licensing of student recruitment agencies;
- Advising on licensing of student recruitment agencies operating in
Kenya and activities by foreign institutions;
- Coordinating the collection of data on qualifications and student
recruitment agencies;
- Conducting quality audits on student recruitment agencies and
preparing reports;
- Developing of quarterly/ annual work plans; and
- Preparing departmental budgets and procurement plans.
Person Specifications
For
appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:
- At least eight (8) years’ experience three (3) of which must be in a
supervisory role;
- Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following disciplines: – Education,
Business Administration, Law, Social Sciences or any other relevant
qualification from a recognized institution;
- Management course lasting not less than four (4) weeks form a
recognized institution;
- Membership to relevant professional bodies and in good standing;
- Proficiency in computer applications;
- Fulfill the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of
Kenya.

- Clearance from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC).
- Tax Compliance Certificate from Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA).
- Clearance Certificate from the Higher Education Loans Board
(HELB).
- Clearance Certificate from an approved Credit Reference Bureau
(CRB).
