- Job Title : Driver – Grade AD 2
- Basic Salary: Kes. 20,532 – Kes. 27,719 per month
- Other Allowances: As provided for in the terms of
service.

- Terms of Service :Successful candidate will be offered the
adjacent remuneration package on three (3) years’
- contract renewable subject to satisfactory work performance.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Drive the University Motor vehicles as authorized in
line with the University’s set guidelines and procedures.
- Maintain proper care of work tickets for assigned
equipment through documentation of proper data for control, planning and
future reference. Carry out routine checks on the vehicle’s
cooling system, lubrication system, Electrical system, braking system,
suspension system, transmission system as well as maintaining recommended
tire pressure
- Detect and report vehicles when due for service and
malfunctioning of equipment systems through daily inspection of the units
to ensure reliable services delivery.
- Maintain cleanliness of the assigned vehicles through
regular cleaning services to ensure it conforms to customer’s
satisfaction.
- Adhere to Traffic Act and Government Vehicle Check Unit
Rules and Regulations by abiding to stipulated rules for safety measures.
Requirements For Appointment
For appointment to this position, a candidate must
have:
- KCSE Certificate
- Driving License Class B, C and E with PSV endorsement
- Passed Occupational Trade Test I for Drivers
- Exemplary work performance
- Basic Mechanical experience or training will be added
advantage
- Three (3) year experience as Driver III
- Fulfilled the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution.

Appointment to the position will be on a Three (3)
