Duties and Responsibilities:
- Patient Examination and Diagnosis: You are responsible for conducting thorough examinations
of patients’ oral health, including evaluating teeth, gums, and supporting
structures. Use various diagnostic tools and techniques, such as X-rays,
dental impressions, and oral cancer screenings, to identify dental issues
and develop treatment plans.
- Treatment Planning:
Develop comprehensive treatment plans based on your examination and
diagnosis. Consider the patient’s oral health needs, goals, and
preferences when recommending specific treatments, such as fillings,
crowns, bridges, implants, orthodontics, or oral surgery.
- Dental Procedures and Treatments: Perform a wide range of dental procedures and treatments to
restore and maintain oral health. These may include fillings, root canals,
extractions, dental cleanings, teeth whitening, periodontal therapy, and
fitting dental prosthetics like dentures or dental implants. Use your
clinical expertise and specialized tools to deliver these treatments
effectively and efficiently.
- Oral Health Education: You
will play a crucial role in educating patients about proper oral hygiene
practices and preventive care. Guide on brushing and flossing techniques,
dietary choices that promote oral health, and the importance of regular
dental check-ups.
- Dental Consultations:
Conduct consultations with patients to discuss their oral health concerns,
evaluate treatment options, and address questions or anxieties. Provide
clear explanations about the recommended treatments, expected outcomes,
and potential risks or complications. Strive to ensure that patients have
a comprehensive understanding of their dental health and feel empowered to
make informed decisions about their care.
- Patient Management and Comfort: You are responsible for ensuring the comfort and well-being
of your patients throughout their dental visits. This includes managing
pain and anxiety by administering local anesthetics or sedation when
necessary. Monitor patients during procedures, making adjustments as
needed to ensure their comfort and safety.
- Record keeping and Documentation: Maintain detailed and accurate dental records for each
patient, documenting their oral health status, treatment plans, procedures
performed, and any other relevant information. This information helps
track patients’ progress, informs future treatment decisions, and ensures
legal and regulatory compliance.
- Collaboration with Dental Team: Work closely with other dental professionals, such as
dental hygienists, dental assistants, and administrative staff, to provide
comprehensive patient care. Collaborate on treatment plans, coordinate
appointments, and communicate regarding patient needs and progress. Lead
the dental team and provide guidance and supervision to ensure optimal
patient care.
- Continual Professional Development: Commit to ongoing professional development to stay
up-to-date with advancements in dental techniques, technologies, and
research. Attend continuing education courses, conferences, and workshops
to enhance your skills, expand your knowledge, and deliver the highest
standard of care to your patients.
- Administrative Role: This
may involve overseeing financial aspects, such as budgeting and billing,
as well as marketing, staff management, and ensuring compliance with
regulations and professional standards.

Requirements and Qualifications:
- At least 3 years of post-internship experience
