Job Specifications
Duties and responsibilities at this grade entail:
- Driving motor vehicles as authorized;
- Carrying out minor mechanical adjustments;
- Maintaining cleanliness of the vehicle;
- Keeping up-to-date work tickets for vehicles;
- Recognizing and reporting mechanical defaults of the vehicles;
- Ensuring security and safety of the vehicle on and off the
road;
- Monitoring and reporting expiry of insurance policies for
motor vehicles;
- Preparing and submitting reports on transport when the need
arises; and
- Ensuring the safety of passengers and/or goods therein;
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:
Person Specifications
- Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education with a D (Plain) or
its equivalent;
- A valid driving license;
- A defensive Driving Certificate;
- First aid certificate;
- Occupational Trade Test II;
- A minimum of eight (8) years relevant experience, three (3) of
which should be at the position of driver I or its equivalent; and
- Fulfil the requirements of Chapter 6 of the Constitution

- Interpersonal skills; and
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
